PNCR aims to reach greater dimensions this year.

On the 5th of February 2016, Pastaka Nyaminyami Community Radio (PNCR) volunteers held a diary session, which declared 2016, as the year of change in the way that the station operates. Furthermore, of the 14 people who attended the session, seven were females and the rest were male.
On the 5th of February 2016 Patsaka Nyaminyami Community Radio (PNCR) volunteers held a Diary Session meeting bounded for 2016 to be a year of change on the way the station operates. 14 people attended the session seven females and seven males including three from PNCR secretariat.
Nevertheless, PNCR is glad to work with the new team this year which include Mrs Shupikai Magaso, Mrs Memory Zishiri, Mrs Sandra Mukanhairi, Miss Lucia Kanyenze, Miss Samantha Thomas, Miss Khazinet Sibanda, Mr Bothwell Nyamayedenga, Mr Mitchele Mbewe, Mr Darlington Zishiri, Mr Admore Mbonda, Mr Tonderai Ndevhani, and Mr Believe Marufu.
In addition, the diary session was held in order to organise all programme schedules to be aired on Channel Zim. Due to the fact that a large number of radio stations, PNCR included, are not lincensed as a broadcasting service, PNCR broadcasts majority of its programs on Channel Zim every Saturday and Sunday between 8pm and 9pm.
As a community radio initiative PNCR is striving to produce content which will serve to entertain, educate and inform the community of Kariba. Moreover, during the diary session volunteers together with PNCR secretariat team discussed the programmes to be aired on Channel Zim that include News and Press Review and Music hour scheduled every Monday to Friday ,Health Check, Sports Review every Monday and Community Focus, Youth Unlimited every Tuesday , Rights Watch and Constituency Talk every Wednesday, Burning Issues and Social Link every Thursday , Entertainment Diary and Sports Updates every Friday, Musical Show and the Future Generation every Saturday and Gospel Show every Sunday.
Nevertheless, in order to promote fairness, each volunteer selected a program that he or she felt comfortable to anchor and produce. Apart from being program anchors each volunteer chose a task to either be a script editor, writer, reporter, or technical editor of programs. The volunteers showed so much commitment and passion to work for the community. The Director of PNCR Mr John Chirinda was happy with the good work that other volunteers did last year and he gave words of encouragement for the team to work together for its community.
At the end of the session each volunteer was given a radio and a flash stick and this attributed the formation of listeners clubs through our volunteers to let the people in the community of Kariba to listen to some of the programmes which are being aired on Channel Zim on those radios.
With the way the team has set for this year we hope all what they discussed is going to be fruitful this year.
